The medtech industry has seen a string of executive changes in recent months. In a notable appointment this year, Ashley McEvoy, a former exec at Johnson & Johnson MedTech, was named CEO of fast-growing insulin pump maker Insulet in April.
Companies also announced several significant departures. Dexcom CEO Kevin Sayer disclosed plans to step down in January after a decade at the diabetes tech company, and Intuitive Surgical CEO Gary Guthart stepped down in July after 15 years leading the robotics firm.
Meanwhile, Edwards Lifesciences lost the longtime leader of its transcatheter aortic valve replacement business after Larry Wood resigned.
