Name: Sean Haag
New title: President of ear, nose and throat, Medtronic
Previous title: Interim president of ear, nose and throat, Medtronic
Medtronic has promoted Sean Haag to president of its ear, nose and throat business, the company said Tuesday.
Haag was named interim president of ENT at Medtronic in July 2025, filling a role previously held by Amy Van Sach. Haag has since strengthened the leadership team, deepened customer relationships and delivered strong business results, the company said.
“His appointment reflects both the momentum underway in the ENT business and continued confidence in his leadership,” Medtronic said.
Haag brings nearly 30 years of healthcare industry experience to the role, including 20 years at Medtronic. Before becoming interim president of ENT, Haag was vice president of marketing and clinical for the AiBLE system that combines planning, imaging, navigation and surgical robotics in the cranial and spinal technologies business.
The ENT business is part of Medtronic’s neuroscience portfolio. Haag will serve on the leadership team for the neuroscience group, which also includes neuromodulation devices and cranial and spinal technologies.
ENT drove a 2% year-over-year increase in specialty therapies net sales within neuroscience in Medtronic’s fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 23, according to the company’s quarterly filing.
Haag has led the ENT business “with clarity and discipline during a period of transition,” said Brett Wall, president of the neuroscience portfolio.
“His deep understanding of the market, the portfolio, and our customers positions him well to lead ENT into its next phase of growth in an increasingly dynamic and competitive environment,” said Wall.
