Zurich, Switzerland, 15 July 2025 – Scanvio Medical has successfully closed an oversubscribed seed funding round, securing $3.4 million from a prominent network of angel investors and family offices across Switzerland and Germany. Key supporters in this round include StartAngels, superangels, Stöckli Medical, Venture Kick and Kickfund, SICTIC, S2S Ventures, along with numerous individual angel investors.
Scanvio is dedicated to improving the diagnosis of endometriosis, a chronic condition affecting approximately one in ten women worldwide. Endometriosis often leads to prolonged pain, infertility, and a diminished quality of life, yet frequently remains undiagnosed for years due to the significant clinical expertise currently required for accurate detection. To address this critical need, Scanvio is developing a real-time AI assistant that supports clinicians in diagnosing endometriosis during standard pelvic ultrasound exams. The company is already collaborating with leading medical centers in Switzerland, Austria, France, and Egypt and is advancing toward CE and FDA regulatory clearance.
“I'm incredibly grateful and proud to have the backing of such a diverse group of individual supporters, family offices, and institutional investors. Together, we will create one of the most impactful applications of AI, directly helping millions of women to receive timely and accurate diagnoses.” said Stefan Tuchschmid, CEO and Co-founder of Scanvio. “This support gives us the resources and the responsibility to push forward with purpose.”
