New capability brings agentic AI, regulated cloud engineering, and embedded delivery pods into Pharma, MedTech, and Biotech commercial workflows
London, UK, May 18 2026 — Vamstar today announced the launch of Vamstar Forward Deployed Engineering for Healthcare Commercial AI, a new deployment capability designed to help Pharma, MedTech, and Biotech organisations move AI from pilots and slideware into production-grade commercial operations.
Developed in partnership with Kaktus Technologies, the capability combines Vamstar’s Polaris agentic AI technology for life sciences commercial workflows with Kaktus’s regulated cloud and AI engineering expertise across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
The launch addresses a persistent challenge across healthcare commercial transformation: AI models are no longer the primary bottleneck. The barrier to operational impact is increasingly found in the surrounding delivery environment, including workflow design, secure deployment, MLOps, auditability, data governance, and the ability to embed engineering teams directly inside regulated enterprise workflows.
“Software is the easy part. Deployment is the moat,” said Praful Mehta, CEO at Vamstar. “The models work. They have for a while. What has held commercial AI back in Medtech and Pharma is everything around the model: the workflows, the infrastructure, the governance, and the operational reality of deploying inside complex, regulated organisations. Forward Deployed Engineering changes that model by putting expert pods inside the customer from week one.”
Vamstar Forward Deployed Engineering is designed around embedded delivery pods that work directly with customer stakeholders, systems, and workflows. The capability supports two core deployment modes: Agentic Operations, focused on regulated commercial workflows such as tender discovery, product matching, RFx response, contract lifecycle management, and commercial intelligence; and Applied Data Science, focused on quantitative AI products such as revenue excellence, demand forecasting, clinical value mapping, price-value prediction, and supply chain risk.
The partnership brings together complementary strengths. Vamstar contributes deep domain expertise across life sciences commercial operations, including tendering, pricing, contracting, market access, MEAT, GPO, and country-by-country procurement. Kaktus Technologies contributes cloud and AI engineering rigour, with experience building enterprise-grade automation environments hardened for healthcare, compliance, and regulated enterprise scale.
Together, the offering is designed to provide UK and EU depth with North American reach, supporting customers operating across complex commercial, regulatory, and procurement environments.
Unlike traditional SaaS implementations or consulting-led transformation programmes, Vamstar Forward Deployed Engineering is structured around rapid, production-oriented deployment. A pod is embedded into the customer workflow in week one, with a lighthouse engagement targeted for production in 8 to 14 weeks. The focus is on measurable outcomes, including improved commercial contract win rates, reduced contract cycle times, faster revenue acceleration, and improved net price realisation.
“Healthcare commercial AI cannot succeed as a login, a roadmap, or another disconnected dashboard,” said Naveen Bhardwaj, COO at Kaktus Technologies, WA Seattle. “It needs secure infrastructure, cloud-native MLOps, enterprise integration, and engineers who understand what it takes to operate inside regulated environments. This partnership brings those capabilities together with Vamstar’s deep commercial AI expertise.”
The new capability is aimed at Pharma and MedTech commercial leaders whose tendering, contracting, pricing, or market access workflows are constrained by fragmented systems, manual processes, stalled pilots, or enterprise deployment complexity. It is particularly suited to organisations seeking production outcomes within two quarters rather than extended transformation timelines.
Vamstar Forward Deployed Engineering expands the company’s existing Polaris AI platform strategy by adding an embedded delivery model for customers that need deeper implementation support, tailored workflow design, and production-grade operational integration.
“The age of life-sciences-by-PowerPoint is over,” added Tim Farnham, Director of Marketing at Vamstar. “The next phase of healthcare commercial AI will belong to organisations that can deploy, govern, and scale AI inside the work itself. That is what this launch is built to deliver.”
Vamstar is an AI-powered commercial intelligence and workflow automation provider built for the life sciences sector. Its Polaris AI platform helps MedTech, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology organisations improve tendering, contracting, pricing, market access, and commercial decision-making through advanced data integration, analytics, and agentic AI workflows. Vamstar enables teams to move from fragmented data and manual processes to faster, more governed, and more scalable commercial execution.
