Prana Surgical, a medical technology company advancing surgical innovation, today announced the appointment of Natasha (Tasha) Bond as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). This marks a significant milestone as the company transitions from product development to full-scale commercialization following recent FDA clearance of the Prana System™ and its early feasibility clinical trials.
With 30 years of experience in the medical device industry, Tasha has deep expertise in the commercialization and regulatory approval of novel technologies ranging from interventional pulmonology, neurology, peripheral vascular and cardiology. Previously, she held the position of COO at Sana Health, President & CEO at ERI Group and most recently has been focused at her own consulting company, Ikigai Medical Development, originally founded in 2018.
In this newly created role, Tasha will lead Prana Surgical’s operational strategy, balancing manufacturing, supply and on-market compliance of the FDA-approved Prana System with development of Prana’s substantial pipeline of future products. Her role will be instrumental in value-creation and momentum, as company operations expand into additional clinical and commercial areas, ensuring the company is well-positioned to meet growing demand and support widespread adoption of its technology across healthcare systems.
“Bringing on a Chief Operating Officer at this stage is a critical step as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Joanna Nathan, CEO and Co-Founder, Prana Surgical. “Following FDA clearance in April, our focus is on scaling the business and ensuring we can deliver our technology to surgeons and patients efficiently and effectively. Tasha brings the operational leadership and commercialization experience needed to help us expand thoughtfully and execute at a high level as adoption accelerates.”
“Prana Surgical is at an exciting inflection point,” said Tasha Bond. “With FDA clearance achieved, the opportunity now is to build the operational foundation that will enable the company to scale and improve minimally invasive surgical intervention. I look forward to working with the team to support this next chapter of growth and commercialization.”
The Prana System recently received FDA clearance in April 2026, marking a pivotal step toward broader clinical adoption and commercialization in the United States.
