C-suites across the medical technology industry will have a few new faces this fall and winter after multiple companies shook up their leadership earlier this year.
New CEOs were appointed at Pulse Biosciences, Agilent Technologies and Livanova. Meanwhile, QuidelOrtho’s board fired CEO Doug Bryant after nearly 15 years with the company, and Masimo CEO Joe Kiani resigned after losing a proxy battle with activist investor Politan Capital Management, ending a 35-year run at the company he founded.
Medtech companies have also seen turnover in other positions, particularly among CFOs. Karen Parkhill, Medtronic’s former CFO, left to take the same role at HP; former Illumina CFO Joydeep Goswami stepped down amid an executive shakeup at the genome sequencing firm; and new CFOs were named at Philips, iRhythm Technologies, Exact Sciences and Insulet.
